conference 2019

The struggle is real but so is Christ - Nov 2&3

sve the dte

Karl Hendrickson Auditorium
Jamaica College

Nobody escapes the struggles that come with living in a broken world, but often in the midst of their suffering people feel like God has abandoned them. Nevertheless, God's word is not silent about our suffering; it acknowledges the reality of it, and for those who look to Christ, the scriptures promise us His comfort and strength in the midst of it and His commitment to transform us through it.
Our 2019 conference is geared at equipping persons to suffer well, to not be in despair but instead to put their hope in Christ, who will give them a strong foundation to endure (Matt 7:24-27), a bold confidence to overcome (Rom 8:31-32) and a bright future to see beyond the struggle (2 Cor 4:16-18).

Panel Discussion

William “Duce” Branch

Guest Speaker

William “Duce” Branch (a.k.a. The Ambassador) loves to preach Christ. Whether through careful biblical exposition or passionate gospel-driven rap, Duce (as he is nicknamed) aims to live out his belief in the sufficiency and primacy of God’s word. After over two decades of ministry in and around the city of Philadelphia, many know him as an urban missionary who advances the cause of Christ through various platforms including: teaching, preaching, rapping, mentoring, and ministry consulting.

Duce served for over a decade as a co-founder, leader, and primary spokesperson for the nationally acclaimed Christian rap ministry (The Cross Movement). He also co-planted and co-pastored an urban church in North Philadelphia from 2004-2009. He now serves his current church, Imago Dei, in Raleigh NC, while also regularly preaching and rapping itinerantly. He is married to the lovely Michelle Branch. They have four children – Jeremiah, Trinity, Eden and Sinai.
